Controlled Drowning
On the radio today, I listened to a segment about medically supervised waterboarding. Then I got to thinking… I wonder how many doctors volunteer for that?….
Happy Birthday DM!
Food for Thought
Umami… Hmm. Who knew?
On a side note, did anyone know that a banana is considered to be a berry?
The banana fruit is a berry. Berries are identified as being many seeded with a fleshy inner layer. So, technically a banana is a berry. And, believe it or not, bananas don’t grow on trees! Originally from Asia, the “banana tree” is really not a tree in the true sense. In fact, banana plants have no wood fiber. The banana plant is the world’s largest herb and a member of the lily family.
I Bang the Worst Dudes
In bygone times, a man’s worst fear was that his ex-humpbuddies would reveal his shortcomings to everyone he knew. Now, it’s that they’ll reveal them to everyone he doesn’t know. See the nightmare realized, at I Bang the Worst Dudes.
An only-slightly anonymized photo rundown of dudes the author and/or friends have regrettably bumped uglies with, this site’s run by a New Yorker with the modest goal of writing about “all the terrible things I’ve subjected my va-jay-jay to”.
The descriptions are hillairous.

Pumpkin Mousse
I tried this pumpkin mousse recipe this weekend, and it was both easy and delicious. Thought I’d share.
Ingredients
1 (15-ounce) can pumpkin
3 cups heavy cream
3/4 cup superfine sugar
1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
Ginger snaps, for garnish
Directions
1. Combine pumpkin, 1 cup cream, sugar and spice in a medium saucepan.
2. Simmer over medium heat for 5 minutes. Cool fully.
3. Whip remaining heavy cream and vanilla to soft peaks and fold into cooled pumpkin mixture.
4. Pour into a serving dish and crumble the ginger snaps over top before serving.
