When it’s 48F and rainy and your boss has you stand outside watching his boxes of stuff while he goes and gets the car from a garage down the block.  Comes back 25 minutes later eating a sandwich that he stopped to get on the way.  Meanwhile you’ve been standing in the cold/rain waiting….  I believe that qualifies said boss as a jackass.  Don’t you think?

This morning the hubby and I, both with colds, decided to get out in the crisp morning air (47F and sunny) and take a walk for brunch.  We got there about 20 minutes early, so we continued walking down Ditmars Blvd to the waterfront by Astoria Park.  Below are photos from the waterfront looking over at Manhattan, and looking up Ditmars Blvd.

I’m a Journey fan, but I had never heard this inspiring story.

Somebody taught McCain how to pronounce “nuclear”!!!!! 

I thought Obama’s response to McCain regarding accusations to his association with Ayers & ACORN was great.

This is the only debate of the three where I felt that the candidates actually tried to address the questions at hand rather than constantly going back to a previous question.

I hate the way McCain dumbs down his responses for Joe the Plumber.  Does he actually appeal to intelligent people?!

Obama, in my opinion, is the clear winner.
